The
HomeScope system can be used to directly control any of the Insteon or X10
devices in the network.
If Zones have been defined, lights can be
displayed by selecting a Zone. All of the Lights for that Zone can
then be displayed. If no Zones are enabled, all Lights will be
displayed. By default, Lights are displayed as a 3 x 2
matrix, but this can be set to other values.
Current values for all Lights are displayed, and
these can be changed with a single touch on the screen or, if a keyboard
is present, with a few keystrokes.

The display can be viewed with the Control and
Task bars displayed, or switched to full-screen display of the
Lights. Switching between the two modes is accomplished by touching
the same Light or Zone twice within 2 seconds or, if a keyboard is
present, using the F key.
Values are updated according to rules that give
priority to any changes in settings made from HomeScope, then to the
currently focused Light (outlined in green), then to other displayed
Lights, and finally to Lights that are not currently displayed. So,
while manual changes made to Lights may not be immediately displayed, they
will be displayed in time.
