Managing
Email and The Web with HomeScope |
HomeScope uses
Microsoft Outlook for management of email. All new email is
collected in an Inbox but, once read, it is moved to a separate
mailbox where it is held for a user-specified period before being
deleted. Although all email management can be performed from
within the HomeScope software, it is also possible to invoke Outlook
directly to perform special functions. |
Note:
Because HomeScope uses Microsoft Outlook as its default email
client, AOL users will be required to install additional software to
allow HomeScope to operate with AOL mail. The recommended
software is eMail2POP
from Porkchup Solutions, Inc. |
HomeScope
is developing a web-page parsing system that will extract and read
meaningful content from any web page. |
However,
at present, any web pages to be read must have an associated
template that tells the system how to find the meaningful content,
which can then be read to the user. |
